Nice place for us to start

Country Oaks was my husband's and my first place together. A great deal of closet space, a bath and a half, and a stacked in-unit washer and dryer were highlights, along with large kitchen and built-in buffet in the dining room. Maintenance of the grounds and exterior was excellent, but we did have to make multiple calls for inside repairs.
Parking can be spotty - we had an outdoor space next to a mailbox, and snow was often plowed into our space. Two car garages are shared with another apartment, leaving your storage open to your neighbors.
Walls are thick and we never heard our neighbors through them. However, we were on the first floor, and didn't have the same luck with not hearing the heavy-footed upstairs neighbors.
Rent is raised consistently every year upon renewal of the lease, and a month-to-month lease does cost more than an annual lease.
All in all, Country Oaks was a good place for us to begin our life together - well-maintained, quiet, affordable, close to shopping and restaurants.
