Not the best / Not as bad as others have described

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I lived in Riverwood for 2 years and have recently moved. Many of the complains I've read appear to be correct, although I have not had any "noise" problems that others have complained about (I should note that I DID have an end unit however). The maintanence of our structure was poor. The garage door had problems it seemed once-per-week, and maintanence never wanted to add the new screw or whatever it needed to fix it. The hallway walls needed painting, and although the washers & dryers were only $.25 per use, the washers took half of my quarters, and the dryers usually required two cycles (for a medium size load)... if they were working at all! Additionally, a colony of some sort of insect took up residence in the stairwell between our apartment and the parking structure throughout the last winter, so at times there would be dozens of dead bugs scattered about the floor with just as many live ones walking around - very disgusting. The area seemed safe and the staff seemed nice. The only problem we really ever had was shortly after Christmas when we even called and asked if there was a package for us (as we knew it definitely should have arrived by then), the staff said "no" but about a week later we were shown a closet full of packages that they had been "meaning to tell the residents about" which included the package for us. Nice area though, with lots of businesses popping-up. The park near the apartments was nice as well. I also must say that the apartment itself was very nice although we did not have central air which was EXTREMELY missed during the summer. Not the best place to live for the price, but not bad if they would drop the monthly rent price.
