We live in one of the BRAND NEW LUXURY apartments, and let me tell you, it's NO luxury. To pay a higher monthly rent, one should expect a better quality apartment. Southfield is NOT such a place. The construction of the new buildings is very poor. We hear EVERYTHING due to poor, paper thin walls. Numerous complaints have gone to management, but other than a letter to our neighbors saying "keep it down," nothing has been done. Mgmnt has developed the "what are we supposed to do about it" attitude. There has been plenty of interrupted sleep/everyday living. And if it snows''' Yes, they are right on top of the plowing...and the bonus to that' It comes to you at 2 AM on a Sunday morning and the plow is literally 3 FT from your bedroom window! Mgmnt's response' Well, the 3rd shifters are happy! Hope you have extra money for your heating bill as well. The windows here are a joke and no amount of plastic on your windows and rolled up rugs by your door will do the trick. We have spent 1/2 the money on rent elsewhere and have NEVER had to deal with such things as these. Wimmer Communities should be ashamed of themselves for building such junk. Consider yourself warned...look elsewhere.
