I believe that the resident who complained about Kathy and Brad is greatly mistaken. I have lived in the older section for many years and have had only minor problems. Kathy is very professional to everyone, and does what is within her power. Brad is very professional as well, and took care of my furnace-a/c right away. Ellie was very unprofessional; any time I would need maintenance done, she was condescending to me and my husband. She also has made racial remarks towards my husband; he is Hindu. It seems that one of Ellie's friends wrote the last remark. She was known to fraternize with residents, which is more than likely why she was terminated. Not all apartments are perfect; this is known. The grounds are well-maintained; the only areas that need attention are around the new construction. This takes time. Overall, I am very pleased with Southfield, and I feel that there need to be more positive feedback on this site. This site seems to be a place where residents complain. These residents are extremely biased!

Obviously, that author is a friend of Kathy's... I'll tell you, I'm am just a resident and not a friend to either. I think "the staff" in general needs some lessons in professionalism. And what do you mean, the grounds don't need a whole lot of work? Feces litters the entire grounds. We've complained to the almighty staff and were told nothing could be done because nothing could be proven. Even after I caught the culprits in the act on more than one occassion. And if you read any of the other reviews on the site, you should have realized that most of the complaints aren't specific against the staff but against their lack of action when an issue arrived. I'm glad they took care of your a/c right away. I'm still waiting to have mine fixed as well as a few other items that are still on work order since september. Call that speedy?

I live at the southfield apartments, and its been a nightmare. We keep complaining about the neigbors above us who play their music so loud that you can't sleep. Nothing has been done. As for Brad who has nothing else better to do than sits in his truck. If you have a maintenance issue Brad will walk into your apartment with his keys without knocking on your door or calling.
