Don't live here

We moved in, in August 2008. We were excited to live here as it looked like a nice community. We'll think twice next time. When we moved in and took a quick look around, everything looked fine. However on closer inspection we were less than thrilled. There was still hair dye on the back of our bathroom from a previous resident (apparently cleaning from management was unnecessary before move in). Also, we have had problems with every appliance except the refrigerator. The oven cooked too hot and burned all of our food no matter what temperature it was set at. Our dishwasher has never cleaned anything (the dishes come out looking dirtier than when they went in). When calling maintenance to get any of these problems fixed, they were timely in response, however nothing was ever fixed. We were told the dishwasher and oven were fine and they couldn't find a reason to fix anything. Then, after calling about 5 more times for the problems, they hired an outside person to come fix them. Not only did the oven need to be fixed, but the dishwasher did as well. We were told that the thing on the bottom that spins the water out never was spinning. Following that, the dishes still never got clean (they need to replace it). Also, our hot water heater has gone out 3 or 4 times since we moved in and they refuse to replace it. They just do the least expensive solution to fix it for a month or two and then it happens again. We've also had heating problems. Our heat stopped working one Thursday in January (it was negative degrees outside) and instead of calling someone to repair it, they gave us one space heater as a replacement. We sat in a 50 degree apartment for 4 days before they called anyone in. We've also had issues with simple things like the maintenance guy coming in without permission, leaving our door open after he's left, wearing his snowy shoes in and walking all over our carpet, and the managers using outlets that we were charged for. Overall, this place is terrible and I will be moving when my lease is up in a few months. Think twice before you sign a lease here.
