Depends on the Building

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
I wouldn't recommend renting from the old blue buildings, they seem "ghetto." We rented for a year from the pinkish stucco apartments. They were nice, but a bit heavy on the pinkish-peachy decor! We did have an ant problem at one point - imagaine a million ants in your closet crawling all over your clothes! Needless to say I freaked out at that! They came in and sprayed and that seemed to take care of the problem for us. The layouts for the stucco apartments seemed cool, but once you get your stuff inside, they aren't exactly functional. We did enjoy our time there, but it seems as though the once "luxury" apartments are starting to get run-down like the blue ones and all the attention is brought to the newly built brick apartments/condos, which are on top of the railroad tracks! Although Rob and everyone else are very nice, unless they upkeep more than just the landscaping, those apartments have lost that luxury feel. (His main focus seemed to be the landscaping.)We had a one-car attached garage and there was enough room for us to park one car in the driveway. Be aware of that - some of the stucco buildings have a long enough drive to park several cars outside your garage, if that is what you need! We found that snow removal was prompt in the stucco buildings. As far as noise, I think we maybe heard the upstairs neighbors once when they were arguing, but even that was muffled. They seemed to vaccuum an awful lot, but again, muffled. The stucco buildings seemed to be well-insulated. We would, however, hear kids running around and screaming, unsupervised outside and the young show-offs squealing around in their cars up and down the drive. Regarding the building, the stucco ones are obviously better built than the blue ones, but they have seen better days, which leads me to believe that cheaper materials were used and there has been little to no upkeep to the exterior and cheap short-cuts are being made to keep the interior fresh and new. These used to be really great apartments, but now, they are looking pretty average to what is out there.
