This place is noiser than an Airplane Engine. Slamming Doors, Loud Stereos, kids running all over the place. NEVER any peace.
Staff is VERY rude when you have a complaint. I have talked to others and they have said the same thing. Owners don't care.
This used to be a great place but has taken a hugh turn for the worse. Rent needs to be mailed to Michigan and mysteriously gets lost in the mail so they charged you with a
$40-$80 late fee. Hugh scam by slumlords.
STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!

I have lived at tanglewood for three months and have have none of the problems you seem to have incountered. the only inconvience i see with this place is the rent is mailed in, but the ladies in the office explained that that is their policy, the best you can do is mail it in early and then you wont get a $40.00 late fee.

I find this place to be ok compaired to living in RACINE or DOWNTOWN MILWAUKEE. They need to rebuild and get new GRILLS

I have live here for almost one year. If you are worried about noise then I would move into your own home. Any apartment you live in is going to have noise since you share walls! Duh. I have lived in 2 different buildings here and neither one was noisey. I dont understand why people come on here and complain about things that arent really a problem. How many other apartments offer grills? Not many. So what if they are old. Its better than nothing right? I really dont know how many residents live her but if the mailing the rent in would be a problem for EVERYONE, they would change it. Maybe you should learn to mail it it sooner and you wouldnt have a problem now would you? I have never receieved a late fee and I mail it in on the first every month. TANGLEWOOD IS A GREAT PLACE! Besides some crabby neighbors. We arent all like that:)

I've been living here since 1999 and love it. The people in the office have always been friendly and professional with me, though occasionally not so quick to act on a request. Maybe because there are over 400 apts in this community and only a handful of maintenance staff members they have to triage the requests? By the way, maintenance staff members are super. They are friendly, skilled and adept. I've always mailed my rent check in the envelopes they provide on the 25th of each month and never had a problem with it being lost or getting a late fee. I heard that if you use a different envelope than the one provided by the office, your rent check could get misplaced in the Michigan office because it's not obvious that it's a rent check. Ok, maybe they don't have time to go through all the mail every day. But it's so easy to use the envelopes they provide that this shouldn't be an issue. My only wish for a better experience here would be underground or garage parking. Otherwise, I'm very happy.
