This apartment is beautiful but the equipment inside is not. I dont have a lot of room to type all of the problems so I will go to my most serious problem. I have black soot growing on my walls and a black dust floating around and myself and my daughter are having breathing problems and my cat has been serious ill. Also when I use my dryer it turned my whites grey and my hands turned grey while folding. This black soot is so noticeable and dangerous and the Mangagement ignored us and told us we cannot break our lease, so we are stuck

We have read this review of our property and would like to respond because we do not agree with it at all. Normally we would not post a response, but in this situation we felt the need to defend ourselves. In the review, the tenant stated that we have ignored the problem of ???black soot??? in their apartment and have done nothing to remedy the situation. This is completely untrue and we would never ignore a situation that concerned a resident. We would like to take this opportunity to say that we did indeed address this situation with great concern. We first had our maintenance crew check out the entire apartment including the furnace, washer/dryer and anything else that could produce black soot. Then we had our company???s construction engineers??? check out the apartment and they did not find any problems either. We hired an H VAC specialist to check the furnace. He also found nothing. During all three inspections one thing was noticed throughout the apartment; there were candles everywhere! We asked the resident after the first inspection to stop burning candles for a couple of weeks and see if the problem resided, but during the last inspection we conducted the resident still had candles burning. If there was something wrong that we could fix we would and sincerely apologize to this tenant. We also told the tenant that they could hire someone to inspect the apartment and if they found a problem we would reimburse them for it and pay for the work that would need to be done. We feel we have done everything we could to solve this problem. To say that we have ignored the problem is completely false and we are saddened to read that about us.

Thank you,
Wood Creek Management
