The two reviews that gave this place five stars must have been left by the managers, because no one in their right mind would recommend this place after living here for any amount of time. The buildings are cheaply made. As a result the slightest noise can be heard from other apartments. You can hear your neighbors having simple conversations, so noise is an incredible problem. When my neighbors have a party, even a small, well-mannered one, it's like they're in my place. My other neighbor is an older gentleman who has lost most of his hearing, so his TV is constantly blasting. He can't help it, so I don't complain of course. That would be rude, which is exactly what the staff here is. The only friendly leasing agent left last summer. One of the maintenance guys, an evil little pudgy troll, is the rudest person you'll ever meet. Snow removal in winter is a joke.
I could care less about the "fitness center" and its old, badly maintained equipment or the outdoor pool. This is Wisconsin so you can use it maybe three months out of the year. Big whoop. There are some nice things here, such as the layout of the apartments and the reduced rate cable (it's $25 p/month). Overall, though the quality of life just isn't there. The little signs at each driveway say "welcome home." That's just not the case.

you won't get any better treatment or living quarters from a gabert and rusch managed property either

Ditto! The cost of rent is not at all worth the benefit of a "luxuary apartment complex", whatever that means. Seems like the management gets real picky and writes constant letters to renters pointing out thier faults. In all honesty, it is not worth it to me. Sorry!
