After a year at the Maple Court Apartments, I am happy to be leaving. First off, the place is infested with sugar ants that live in the walls. These creatures will get into whatever food you do not have sealed in a vault practically. Also, there are various other insects that will come and go as they please. The apartments are spacious to a point but after awhile will feel cluttered because you will run out of room. More importantly, these apartments are billed as having sound-proof walls and such; however, they are everything but. You will be able to hear everything from the person above you if you live on the first level like I did. The security is very low to the point that the entry doors do not even have locks so any random person can and will walk in. There are a lot of parking spots but the various soon-to-be criminals will fill up the lot and steal the parking spot assigned to actual tenants. Now for the main reason not to rent here or from Brookside and Brookside North. The management at these three complexes is beyond mere stupidity. They are as shady as managers can come. They are only nice when you are interested in the place and once your name is on the lease, they turn on you like there is no tomorrow. They will do everything in their power to screw you over. This includes trying to renegotiate terms in midterm to screw you out of money and also treat you like you are a complete child if you need something. The main manager at these apartments does not care for a single human being and she will let you know it. She treats you like you are a piece of trash and you should just bow to her and follow everything she says. If you disagree with her, she will not listen to you and become unprofessional to the point where you can no longer stand being in the office with her. Management will never take responsibility for things they should and that is why no human being should ever rent from this place or any others connected with Midwest Reality Management Inc.
