In terms of the Oshkosh apartment market, River Place is at the top of the list as far as apartment communities go. I would still say rent a house or part of a duplex (they are often cheaper than apartments in this town), but all in all RP is good. Central air and underground parking are worth their weight in gold, trust me. You'll be thankful when it's -30 degrees outside and you can get into your warm car and just drive off without scraping and warming up the engine. Another good thing is the internet and cable arrangement. TV is satellite and HBO comes standard. Internet is DSL. Both TV and Internet are included in rent. That's the type of extra you don't expect to see in a town like Oshkosh. If you attend or work at UWO, you can walk there in under 5 minutes. Nice area of town, very pretty, right on the river. Good restaurant across the street, and several museums within 5 minutes walking. The only negatives I can see are the small kitchen and the somewhat drafty French balcony doors. Staff is friendly and helpful. All in all, a much better experience than my former apartment community, Havenwood Heights. The difference is like night and day. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn
