Glad I'm Out

The best thing about Hidden Oak is the amount of space you get for the money. However, I lived in an apartment where my bedroom wall was adjacent to the stairwell going down to the parking garage. Anytime someone used the stairwell I heard every step up and down. In the year I lived there, I did not get one decent night sleep. There is a huge problem with dog feces all over the grounds, mainly from large breed dogs. This is more of an owner issue than a management issue, but management should enforce fees for those who do not pick up after their animals. There is also a problem with garbage pickup as tenants pile dumpsters to overflowing. This is a management problem as they should schedule more frequent pickups. Children play in the parking garages even though management comments on "what not to do" in their monthly news letter. They have problems with mold as other tenants have stated. I had mold in one of the bathrooms and the washer which made all my clothing smell like mold. I also agree that there is not enough lighting at night. Beware of the power plant. I researched it prior to moving in and everything I read was of course positive. However, there was black soot on the walls, windows and all my furniture, I can only imagine what I was breathing. I physically had the worst year ever of medical problems, which I believe may have been caused by the power plant. My advise, think twice, your health is more important.
