DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I moved into hidden oak a little over 3 months ago in DEC. 2008,and I can't wait to leave. My husband was managing an apartment complex before we moved, we gave up the free rent 3 bedrooms 1.5 bath and no electric bill to pay to move to hidden oak for the ameneties we didn't have. I wish I never moved. My electric bill has been ridiculous due to the dryer that takes almost 2 hrs to try 1 load of laundry. I called about it and they told me we just need to clean out your vent. They did.. guess what still not fixed. The portable dishwasher I owned before I moved was quieter than the built in ones in the apartments. called about that as well.. nothing has changed. The hallway smells like dog feces and urine. There is feces all over the grass. The carpets in the hall are filthy. I moved from a somewhat ghetto neighborhood to nice pleasant prairie... still not out of the ghetto. for $815 a month for a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment I thought it would be a better class of people. NOT HERE. Management is beyond horrible. This place is a total rip off. We were planning on getting a 2 bedroom at hidden oaks when our lease is up in december.. but after only 3 months I definately know that I don't want to waste anymore of my money. Which is sad considering the apartment itself is ok. If you like things a little quiet.. don't move here. Loud kids running and banging around, adults that are equally as loud. Also there is a set of train tracks at the end of the complex road. The train runs every 5 minutes or so and they blast the horn the whole time they are going by. so if you enjoy having your patio door open on a nice warm night... Stay away from here.
