Applegate has to be the worst management company I have ever dealt with. I have had nothing but problems, even before moving in. Everything was so nice and easy until I signed the lease and they cashed my first check. Parking is the worst nightmare of them all. There is not guest parking so when guests come over they will steal your parking spot so you have no where to go. I have called Applegate numerous times on this issue and they said that they had to be called first and that I couldn't just have a car towed for parking there. That becomes a problem when everyone at Applegate leaves at 5 and people's friends don't start coming over until 9. The location is great for students and the walk really isn't that far. The maintenance crew is very good and usually fix things right away. That is where the good things stop. The hallway always smells and is dirty because they never have anyone clean it, the laundry room is dirty, you can hear people right outside your window as if the window is wide open. The doors don't block out any sound and I would be amazed if they were even up to fire code. The only way I would ever pick this place is if it was your last option, like it was mine.

Applegate is a terrible company to deal with. They want 30.00 just to talk to them. Their bookkeeping is done in another state and their communication is terrible. They sent my daughter a bill for rent for Aug for an apartment she had moved out of in May and wouldn't return her phone calls. Just threatened to send it to her credit. If you can rent from a different company do so.

I agree. This is a terrible place to live. I lived there for one year and had mice, on the second floor no less, and nothing was ever done about it. Also, no one followed the no smoking rule so it always reeked of smoke and pot.

Apple Gate is by far the WORST company ever and I have lived in a lot of places. I have bugs, mice and spiders and the mold is terrible, so gross they never fix anything and if they do it is half a** done. My toilet was broken and we had to walk down to the gas station to use the bathrooms- it honestly took Applegate over two weeks to come and fix it. Apple gate is TERRIBLE NEVER rent from them, they steal your money, dont fix anything oh and the best part the parking lot will destroy your vehicle- STAY AWAY!!!!!!

I agree I've ended up living there for 13 months. They are absolutely horrible when it comes to getting back to you if you call with a problem. The place was a complete dump when we moved in. I always shoveled when it snowed, not only my walk but the others around me b/c snow was always piled up in the winter. The place I stayed in was not so bad, I had no mice or mold BUT the management was extremely unprofessional and down right RUDE. I was appalled at how little they cared about my and other tenants comfort and concerns.
