Sharon a small safe community

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
This is a large complex of two buildings having three floors each. One of a very few that does allow pets, including dogs in the entire county. (There are two designated areas for the dogs to use when they need to "go".) As for barking or noise from the dogs, I have rarely heard any. The dog owners are very considerate and caring for their pets. There are other pet owners of cats and others and there has never been any problems.
The other outdoor areas are maintained nicely. There is a playground area and another grassy area with a nice hill for children to play. Especially during winter the hill is nice for sleds. There is plenty of grass covered areas for children to play.
The school in Sharon has grades pre-kindergarten to 8th grade. There is also a state licensed daycare at the school. The school is excellent. If you have children who are in one or more of these grades I highly recommend this school. It is only half a mile from the apartment complex.
The apartment complex is both family friendly and pet owner friendly. Also, there are singles who live here or there are units with one-bedrooms. There is a blend of renters.
The manager is available on site and so is maintenance. There are phone numbers to call for maintenance emerggencies during non-business hours.
This is also the first apartment complex I have lived in that actually has a sprinker system through out the entire building. Each building has heat sensitive sprinklers starting in the underground parking area all the way through to the separate attic area. (attic is not a storage area or for tenant use) It is a fire safe building. Smoke detectors are located in each apartment and in the appropriate areas through out the building. Both buildings are accommadated with these fire alert systems.
Storage units are located in each building. The rooms are secure and can only be entered with a key from the manager. Inside the storage rooms are separate storage compartments which require a tenant to provide a padlock. If you need larger storage space there's a self storage rental less than half a mile away.
The downtown area of Sharon is about a half mile away from the apartment complex. There's a Food Store, a restaurant, Mercy Clinic, a coffee shop, a pizza carry-out, Antique stores, a bank and other area owned businesses. There is also a wonderful library with free Internet access. The library is also available online and can get books, DVDs, videos or other material from at least 20 other libraries. Sharon also has it's own full service Post Office!
Sharon is a wonderful safe community of about 2000 people. It has it's own Police Department that maintains a safe environment for children and adults. No gang activity here!
Sharon is a friendly community, and Prairie Landing Apartments is a good place to live.
