I like shorewood. The overall community is nice, quite and safe. However,if you are considering to move into estabrook homes apartment, I will HIGHLY DISCOURAGE you to do that. Why' because the manager there is very RUDE and MEAN. Each time, when I called her about some maintainence issues , such as fixing air condition, microwave, or lavatory. The first response from her is: why you break it' Yes, you can feel that she think you is a liar!!!! She is always rude: never let you finish your sentence, always interrupt you during the talk and force you to listen to her. Then, if she fell that she cannot force you to agree with her opinion, she will say 'ok, I have to go! I have other people waiting on the door... balabala...' and rudely hang up your phone!!

ALL neighbors I know are trying to avoid to speak with her. When I moved out, I cleaned every corn of the apartment and make sure everything is as nice as I moved in. However, she not only eaten ALL of my deposit, but also sent me a handwritten statement (no signature, no receipt, some items cannot be recognized), which said I still own her xx bucks. Damn!!! I lived in four different apartments before, two of them didn't charge me anything, the other two only charge me less than fifty dollars for general cleaning. When I talked with her through the phone, you know what happened (rude,don't listen to me, treat me as a liar, hang up the phone)....

Before you decide to move in Estabrook Home apartment, THINK AGAIN! make sure you want to deal with such kind of ugly manager during the time you stay here!!!!

It's true! Your move out inspection and security deposit notice is mailed to you months later on 1/3 of a piece of computer paper ripped off and written in pencil! It's not signed by anyone and written completely illegibly. I had to call and ask her what mine said. She charged me $400 for knife marks in the counter even though I KNOW that I put that on our move in inspection form and I'm sure they didn't fix it. She also charged $200 for cleaning the apartment, when I left it spotless. Even if she paid the workers $10 to come and clean a disgustig apartment their wouldn't be 20 hours worth of work in that tiny apartment.
