there are about 35 court cases, just for this year, filed/pending in wisconsin small claims court, with goldleaf as one of the parties, just for the sun pairie apartments. this should say a lot regarding how they deal with the issue. the staff is friendly and helpful till you move into the apartment. stay isn't very bad, you would think. the nightmare begins when you move out. you can forget about your security deposit. consider yourself lucky if you escape with that. infinite phone calls and trips to their office asking about your security deposit will yeild no results. one fine day, you would get a notice from the small claims court that you owe them a huge amount in damages. in my case it was $1500, i was renting a studio there!if you try to reason it out with them, they just refuse to talk and throw you out of their office. height of rudeness. the funny part is they go ahead and file a court case, even before the payment due date expires. looks like a force of habit hehe. fighting it out in the court doesn't help much. maybe you can bargain a little. they have their loyal cleaners who would talk in their favor, ridiculous claims.
in my case, they got their apartment renovated at my expense! no matter what you do, there is no escape. all ex residents of hunters ridge have similar stories.
never rent these apartments!

Someone should organize a class action legal case against Goldleaf development for all of the tenants that are being taken advantage of.
