But from an insiders perspective, this experience with Goldleaf Development was such a headache.
We had so many problems with our apartment, there aren't enough hours in a day to list them all. But here are some:
First, I couldn't even use the front door for most of the winter (we had to enter through the garage). Either the gutters were clogged or a poor roof design lead to the entire walk way covered in ice. Not just a little ice, I'm talking an ice sheet 2 or more inches thick, like ice skating thick. They never bothered to fix it the whole winter.
Second, the cheap washer broke and flooded our entire apartment, bedrooms, kitchen living room and all! The sensor didn't recognize that the water level was full and ran for 2 plus hours before our downstairs neighbor noticed it seeping down her walls. It ruined many of my things, but that didn't matter. Because I had gone out for a little while, the maintenance manager said it was my fault for not being home to catch it!!! Can you believe that!
Needless to say, we didn't get any of our deposit back, but as of now anyway, we haven't been extra water damage either.
Third, Goldleaf also said we owed them last months utility bills when I paid the utility companies directly!
They are an evil company. One lady I know when I lived there, used to work for them but moved out and quit her job after 6 months (I'm assuming she understandably couldn't deal with all of the pissed off residence).
