We have lived in these apartments for a little over 4 months now. Before moving here we lived in a horrible apartment complex that was equivalent to hell. People partied constantly and there was never silence.

Here at Oakview it is always quiet. The apartments are soundproof so you can't hear anything in the other apartments or hallways. The laundry facilities and hallways are kept very clean and are taken very good care of. The yard is kept up very nicely and the landscaping is very nice. There is off-street parking with plenty of spots for everyone. Heat is included and the building stays very warm in the cold.

The balconies and patios are spacious and you are provided with flower pots to plant your own flowers, they encourage you to keep the place looking nice. The management is very friendly and there is ALWAYS a maintenance person available. Upon moving in you are given a beeper number for the maintenance crew (which seems to be a full time staff). The manager of the property is available in the office for very convienent times.

They allow cats and dogs and only charge $10 per pet for cat rent. There is no pet deposit and the security deposit is a very reasonable $300 which if fully refundable upon move out. The apartments are in excellent condition. We were even given a brand new dishwasher upon move in!

Our only complaint is the factory behind the apartment (which we have grown used to). The factory is always running except for holidays and some of the workers can get a little loud on their lunch breaks. If you have your windows shut you can't even hear them though. Not a huge deal and we've grown used to it. Its a small price to pay for a WONDERFUL apartment.

I lived in this place for 5 years, unfortunately. I have animals and it's very difficult to find a place to rent, so this was pretty much it for me. They do not put any money back into the buildings, i had made several complaints about noisey neighbors and parking problems and actually got laughed at & the landlord claimed that he was trying to fix the problem, but I highly doubt it!!!!! There is garbage on the grounds that nobody picks up. In the building that i lived in, the wood on the outside is rotting, people keep garbage, dirty mattresses on their patios and balconys. Police are constantly up and down the street, i witnessed several arrests and woke up to cars getting their windows smashed out on a couple of occasions. I would NOT recommend living here!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear this, I am the original poster and have since moved on and bought a house but I lived there for 2 years and never had a problem!
