Too high of a price for a cheaply built apartment

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
I was so excited to move into Weybridge. And for the first few months things went by ok, except for a few disagreements and false promises that were made to us by management when we signed our lease. We moved into a building that was brand new. We also recieved a 25% discount on rent for the first 3 months due to the new and ongoing construction. The construction turned out the be the least of our problems. There were two things that I was most bothered by during my time at Weybridge. First of all, the heating and cooling systems were absolutely ridiculous! The two bedrooms were the only place that had thermostats and temperature controls (for heat). The rest of the apartment's heat was supposed to be generated by a heater that looked as if it was straight from a Super 8 hotel room. It has a warm/cool gage and then a high/low gage. For the whole year that we lived there, we were not able to maintain a decent temperature for more than one hour at a time. During the winter, the walls were so thin and poorly insulated that we lost a huge amount of heat there. The rest of the warm air went straight up to the cathedral ceiling leaving our kitchen, living/dining room, hallway, and den at 62 degrees.
We also exprienced some problems with the constantly changing management. When we initially signed our lease, we were promised discounts at local gym (30%). This was a huge incentive for us to live in these particular apartments. After we had moved in and gone to recieve our discount we were informed that the individual with whom we signed out lease was managing another property and could not be bothered to affirm our agreement.
Being young adults we felt as if the staff was looking for things to complain about us for. We signed a community policy regarding noise and apartment appearance. At the time, it was very reasonable. During our stay we acquired two noise violations (keep in mind that we were the only ones in our building and none of us listening to music or tv loudly). The walls of our building were so thin that you could hear a conversation of someone entering the building one floor below. (We were told when we signed our lease that the walls were very noise proof). We also recieved a very prudely written notice to tell us that our balcony was not up to community standards because we had a non-lawn chair on it (it was a white chair with cream plastic padding on it) and we had broom on our balcony (which we used to sweep up the continous dustiness from construction).
I just wanted to advise people not to live in these apartments. They will promise you the world but they have so many stipulations and regualtions that it is just not worth it. They are desperate to get people to rent there so beware the promises they make you.
For the price you pay, you should expect much more, I know I did.
