If you are looking for a place to live in Waukesha, do NOT live here. The area is kind of ghetto, the rent is way too expensive (for downtown Waukesha), and the people are weird. Watch out for the manager, Linda. She acts all nice while you are there, but when you vacate the apartment, she deducts all these bogus expenses from your security deposit. When I vacated my apartment, I made sure that everything was clean, or at least the way it was when I moved in. I had the carpets professionally cleaned too (this is a requirement stated in the lease). Regardless, I made sure that the entire apartment was cleaned appropriately. When she returned my deposit, she deducted $70 for re-cleaning the tub, and another $70 for re-cleaning the oven. They were definitely clean when I left, and even if they weren't perfect, who would charge $70 for cleaning an oven and a tub in the first place. Moreover, some of the people are really noisy. My neighbor would smoke pot a lot too.
