I did A LOT of shopping around for apartments when I needed to move in August 2007, and even though I saw that Foxhaven got TERRIBLE reviews, I decided to give it a chance and visit. I did deal with the BAD property manager (she was as is described), but luckily when it came time to sign my lease and move in, the new property manager had taken over! Thank goodness!
Since we moved in, we have had very few problems. Any maintenance requests were promptly addressed (usually within 24 hours, even if not an emergency). Our neighbors' dog is loud sometimes, but you'd get that anywhere. We have had very little problem with parking and we are very thankful for the garage space! Snow removal has been somewhat of a problem this winter...our parking lot was VERY icy and packed down with snow, but a lot of times, this is because the snow plow has nowhere to go with the snow, especially when cars are left parked in the lot when he needs to plow. I guess my concern regarding the snow is for the old lady who lives below us...I always try to help her get to her car when it's snowy and icy because that is something that is rarely cleared up very quickly.
Overall, I'm very happy with my decision to live at Foxhaven. It's a nice central location, rent isn't too bad, and utilities are fair. I'd recommend (and have recommended!) these apartments to others!
