I was a resident of Mountain Village for 7 extremely happy years. From the beginning when I decided to rent an apartment to the end when I checked out, I couldn't have had a more pleasurable experience.

The staff at Mountain Village are exceptional human beings. They are caring, helpful, organized and have responded in a timely manner to any problems I ever had (which were very few over my 7 years of tenancy). For example, one New Year's Eve, my heat was not working. I worked 3rd shift at the time and thought maybe I was just cold. I realized though on New Year's Day when I returned from work that my heat truly was not on. I called the emergency number to ask for assistance and I had a maintenance man at my door within a 1/2 hour. I was impressed with the great response to my problem especially on a holiday when I'm sure the man that helped me would have preferred to be home with his family.

Another plus to Mountain Village is that in almost all units, heat and hot water are included with your rent. In our cold state of Wisconsin, this is a blessing. The cost of electric and gas continue to climb each year but I never saw an increase in my rent to account for the higher cost of utilities.

One year, if I signed another one year lease (which I did), my rent actually went DOWN. I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I read that letter about my lease renewal options. The good news was true though and I appreciated being able to save a little more money each month.

Overall, I really can't say enough about how wonderful my time at Mountain Village was. I never had any concerns about outdoor lighting, (it was more than sufficient). With regard to underground parking, as I mentioned, I used to work 3rd shift which meant I went to my car late at night. Mountain Village had a security man that would walk the grounds to keep an eye on everything and ensure the safety of our property and us. I would encounter him often in his rounds which also assured me that he was doing his job and not napping in the middle of the night.

Also, I have thoroughly enjoyed the way Mountain Village decorates for every season. Family and friends that have visited me also loved the decorations. From beautiful Spring and Summer flowers to adorable Christmas decorations in Winter, I could easily tell that a great deal of thought and pride goes into determining the best way to spruce up the complex.

The only things that took me away are a pending marriage and job relocation.

I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I read some of the other reviews and as you read mine, you need to make up your own mind. However, I lived at Mountain Village for SEVEN years, not just 15 months. I have only happy memories of my time there and I was sad to leave! Check out the place for yourself and come to your own conclusions but I would bet that your findings would match what I have said. Happy renting!
