I lived in the Studio Apartments for six months and I was glad when my six months were up. As the apartments were quiet, located in a nice area, and had wonderful maintenance the negatives out weighed the positives. To start off, I moved into a dirty apartment that still had old pots and pans left in the cabinents...not to mention the lady who was supposed to give me my keys showed up 45 min. late.

- The dryers never dried my clothes and the washers ripped three shirts of mine (and yes, I have been doing laundry on my own for many years and this has never happened before).

- You only get 10 min. of hot water at a time so if you live with someone else don't plan on taking a shower for a good 45 min. after them (This was not mentioned to me before moving in).

- My neighbors had sewage from the above apt. leaking not only into their apt., but into the hallway as well. Nobody in the building was notified about this meaning that if you walked through the sewage without knowing, you then traced sewage through all places that you walked.

- They say they will inform you when you get a package, but they don't. This leaves you to call the office every week to make sure you don't have anything wating for you.

- There was a flooding situation that happened in the garage and not only was it not handled well (we were rarely updated on the situation), but we did not get our money back on garage parking for the month we could not park down there.

- Upon checking out the manager was late to checking me out of the apt.

- It is expensive, you can find much cheaper apt. in the area

- Management is rude as soon as you tell them you need to move out

I think that is it. I would not recommend living here.

You're lying, plain and simple. I live in the studios right now and can tell that you embelished at least part of your story. #1 there is no separate parking fee, and furthermore the garage is below ground. Half of Waukesha was under water this summer so of course there will be flooding. Who needs to "let you know" when you can see the town under water? #2 the UPS/Fedex people leave notes on our doors - it is not the office's job to inform you, though they do if you don't pick up your package within a few days. Debbie and Corine are both very good about this. #3 you make it seem like the "sewage" was poop. It was a leaky water pipe. #4 the rent for the studios is cheap for the Milwaukee area. There are cheaper units available, but they are dives. #5 if you're only getting ten minutes of hot water you need to call maintenance. I take 20 minute showers and still have enough hot water to shave afterward. That's it. The only thing I agree with you about is the laundry room. You need to pop two cycles worth of quarters in to get dry clothes and there aren't enough washers and dryers for 48 apartments. Other than that, you sound like a fruitcake with an agenda.

Okay, now I am more upset about living there. First, when I moved in in I was told by Corrine that the apartments were a little more expensive because they included the price of the underground parking, second, I didn't say that they needed to "let me know" about the sewage situation, I think it would have been nice to know a little more about the situation. When I called the office to ask about it, they gave me a lot of information that they could have and should have told everybody about in the first place. Third, my neighbor did have actual sewage in her apt. that leaked into the hallway- I haven't heard of a leaky water pipe so I think you are thinking of another situation. Fourth I have friends who live in a one bedroom apt. in Waukesha paying the same amt. of money, and fifth I Only had 10 min. of hot water. I called maintenance two times about this and they said that everybody has only 10 min. of hot water. Also, please don't call me a liar. This was my experience and it wasn't very good. I didn't lie either. Anyways, I think it is great that you love them, and am happy for you. I hope that you continue to like them.

The original review posted above is 100% accurate & is exactly the same experience I've had as a resident. I personally cannot wait until my lease is up. Among the minor inconveniences are the 10 minute (if you're lucky) warm showers, dryers that only dry clothes after 2-3 cycles, and no notification about packages (one was finally given to me after SIX MONTHS and only because I had an additional package just delivered to the office). I disagree that management is rude - they are just incompetent. They will be nice while being completely ignorant. However, these are minor inconveniences having dealt with losing a car in their garage with the flooding in Waukesha. Not only did they not inform anyone of the situation as it was happening (which may have helped people salvage their personal vehicles), but I was informed of the situation by a handwritten photocopied flyer taped lazily to the entrances of the apartments. I made calls to the emergency maintenance line to get an update on the situation (since this occurred over the weekend and the office has very inconvenient hours for anyone that maintains a 1st shift occupation), which were never returned. The only way I was informed of the situation was when I went to the office personally to inquire, and even then, all I received were excuses, a confused look, and a reassurance that they were 'doing everything they could', which apparently was absolutely nothing, as I saw absolutely no action being taken by anyone. My vehicle was a total loss, and the frustration in dealing with the situation was only compounded by the lack of understanding by the management staff. I was given about 3 different stories as to why no one was notified of the flooding situation as it was happening, no explanation as to why my emergency maintenance call was not responded to, and demands for me to sign a release to allow them to tow my vehicle out of the garage (without first allowing me to have an insurance underwriter inspect the situation). The garage is still a mess - even today (almost THREE MONTHS later) there are still old bicycles covered in sewage in the bike rack. I have contemplated contacting the health department about the situation as the garage still has fecal matter on the floor and walls, but I do not want to deal with (nor want anyone else to have to deal with) the enormous inconvenience of having to park elsewhere. This place is a mismanaged mess and I would not wish anyone to have to deal with living there!
