I am a current tenant at Woodfield Heights and I just found out that the past property managers and the company do NOT hold the state required licenses to make valid rental contracts. If you rent or have rented at Woodfield Heights YOUR contract is probably INVALID too!!! GET OUT FOR FREE!!! They can't win a case against you in court if they did not have the proper licenses to negotiate your leasing contract.
My wife and I have been happy tenants for the most part and have felt like we were getting a pretty good deal. I've read some of the other peoples comments that are bashing the place and their comments are not accurate according to our experience. The place is nice and the maintenance crew have been helpful and nice. Our utilities on the budget are $81/month. The noise upstairs can be bothersome and there have been frequent changes in the management. The most recent of which, in my opinion, is a downward movement. The quality of tenants seems to be taking a sharp dive...
BUT BACK TO THE POINT...
I have filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Regulation & Licensing to put an end to the illegal activity going on with the negotiation of contracts without the required licensing. This company should not be conducting it's business as they are. The Vice-President of the company ignored my attempt to enlighten him about the situation. I agree with the previous manager's comment that the company is not to be trusted. Please help me in my cause to see them brought to justice.

Well I can say that I am one of those people they are trying to sue for past rent. I lost my job as well as my husband around the same time & also had a new baby. We did every and anything we could to get the rent in on time. They never did work with us when they knew the situation, we had to borrow the $ we were behind so we wouldnt get kicked out. I paid them $1200 (rent and "legal fees") then it was finally time to move out (a month later) and now they are trying to sue us for not cleaning the apt as well as they wanted. So now we owe them over $400 more dollars! We are not dirty people by any means and I'm sorry I didnt get on my hands and knees to clear the damn carpet even though when we gave them the deposit we were told $100 came out automatically for carpet cleaning. Ahhh I'm glad I'm out of that place but I am interested in finding out if they really can "sue" us for that $. They were threating to garnish our wages and so on. I'm not sure what to do but after reading your comments I'd like to know if our lease was really valid and true and where do I find that info? If anyone does know please email me at Cristal2706@hotmail.com Thanks
