First off I just want to say that sites like this one are great! I think everyone should rate their apartments online. I think it would force some of these places to clean up their act! It's not hard to see past the fake reviews that the landlords write.
That said..
I lived here and AT FIRST it was great! Rent was $900 but the place was huge and I lived with a family member so it worked out good. It was nice being close to everything in Tosa and we really had no complaints at all. I started noticing vandalized cars in the lot but minded my own business. I was getting annoyed that the outside door was always broken and anyone off the street could just walk right in the building and get to everything. We complained a couple time but got no response at all. It was annoying but not life/death so we let it go after it was obvious nobody cared.
So far, so good.. UNTIL one night when we were getting ready to go meet some friends. 2 guys in ski masks walked right into the building, kicked our door in an held guns to our heads. They ran through our apartment and left right away. The cops were there within 5min and so was the maintenance guy, fixing the door we had complained about multiple times. We were accused of being drug dealers, even though the whole thing was clearly a case of mistaken identity. Our place was ripped apart and we were harassed for months about it. After this happened, I kept a lot better watch of things and noticed the vandalism and crime happening all over the place. It was rough having to stay there and sleep in the place after all that, and we got out ASAP.
The place really did have a lot of potential and I really hate having to write this review. I'm a hard working, quiet person who doesn't cause any trouble. I'd hate for anyone else like that to have to go through what we did.
