Well first I d like to say that I like my apartment floor plan a lot. However, things have really gotten off to a bad start. I am optimistic that it will get better. My unit was not in MOVE IN CONDITION like I expected. So I just thought I would have to do some minor cleaning at worse. There was nothing minor about the cleaning needed here. I really doubt that it was cleaned thoroughly at all. This was a major cleaning job. Since I was already suffering from an injury this has been the longest cleaning job ever. The kitchen was well I ll let you name it. There was mold fur and food stains in the fridge. The freezer had mold, food crumbs, and lots of pet/people hair in it. Although management did have the cleaning person come back to clean the fridge it still had the same problems. So I decided to ask for the owner s manual so I could clean it right. The cleaning person was sent back to my unit to clean fridge again. I asked her if she could get the hair, old food, etc... out of the freezer compartment and I was told that wasn t possible. Since my confidence in there cleaning was gone. I was told I could buy a fridge. So I asked them to remove that fridge and lived without one until I could get one. When the fridge was moved fish smelling water leaked onto the carpet. The office is still getting back to me with an appointment time to have the carpet cleaned again. YES IT WAS THAT BAD!
As I began this major cleaning job I moved the stove so I could sweep and mop. Well let s just say that this kitchen was disgusting. There was so much dog hair, dirt, dried on food, etc I was hoping that all the dust, dirt, stains and dead insects I saw on the carpet when I got my keys was not what I was in for. I can t even count how many paper towels or bottles of Method I used. This place is pretty much all white and the amount of dust and dirt on shelves, floors, inside and out of cabinets was terrible. I have only been able to clean one bathroom. The master bath is off limits until I can get to that. I am trying to get completely unpacked. I have received many apologies from management. Communication was great up to this point. I have been waiting for 25 days on a response from them to settle some issues. I m sure their just busy and getting to me. Yes this has been a very rocky start but I m hoping to see a huge turn around. I ll keep you posted!
