Overall, I would say my experience there was tolerable. The manager there didn't really seem to care much about the property. In the summer we had a really bad asian beetle infestation, and had to take care of that ourselves. I had a couple living below me that would have parties ALL the time, and would play the guitar at 1:00 am baked out of their minds. There was one evening that someone decided to light the dumpster on fire outside of our window.
The apartment itself wasn't so bad. One crappy thing was the broken shower that was that way when we moved in, it never got fixed and they tried to take it out of our deposit until we pointed out it was on our move-in check list. The fuse in the main bedroom would get tripped all the time, just from having the computer and a tv on at the same time. My bedroom had a porch off of it, and the door was broke, it wouldn't stay close very well, that never got fixed. I had to pile stuff up against the door so it wouldn't come open in the winter.
Our heating bill was INSANE! Yet, it never held the heat. It was really drafty, we had our head set at 65 and our bill would be outrages because the heat kept kicking in.
Parking was kind of a nightmare. I would never get a parking spot near my aparment because people who didn't live there would park there ALL THE TIME, and never were asked to remove their vehicles until I called the managers numorous times.
Some drunk people broke the front door of our unit, and that never got fixed. When we first moved in, the same drunks broke the railings on the stairs leading up to the doors and that took forever to get fixed.
It's a shame because these are really cute apartments with a homey feel to them. Taken care of properly, I think they could be a great place to live, however I don't blame the owners nor the managment for the lack of caring because it is college housing.
