The apartments have been remodeled, but there is still a lot of crime, it's just a little more sporadic and/or unseen. Management is only better than the old because they are not stealing rent money from tenants,but still just as bad & unfair to tenants.security is not much help.no id, no entry.very bothersome for visitors of tenants.I have been threatened by new security staff,while entering without ID,while I was a resident!
In the past few years,I have witnessed,methlabs exploding in the 1311 building,shootings,a lot of domesic battery,vandalisim,amoung other crimes.There is still a lot of drug activity and dealing.not too much has changed about the property except for the name and that they have dishwashers.The waiting list is usually 2 weeks to a month.
The playground ,doesn't consist of much of anything fun for children,especially smaller toddlers.Management is also changing the rules of entry,allowing un notified entry of tenants apartments,by security & maintinance workers,for what ever reasons they see fit(which management says they have that right)but it is illegal to enter an apartment without notice unless it is an emergency,such as a fire or flood,or accompaning police holding a warrant.If anyone has had a similar problem,you can contact your local HUD office to file a complaint.
The place isn't too bad if you're in a tight spot or in need of a temporary home until you can find some place better for you and/or your family to call home.
