Moved to Hickory Mill Apts. in 2006 after it was recommended by a coworker and a family member. My apartment wasn't as impeccably clean as I would've liked, but I knew that coming in and offered to pick up the slack myself since I needed to move in quickly. I wasn't thrilled w/ the old wallpaper in the place, but they let me do some adjusting and I managed to turn the place into quite a cute little home. Shortly after I moved in, new management took over, but that didn't hurt anything. It's VERY quiet here and I feel totally safe. A quiestionable person moved in nearby at one point, but was gone shortly thereafter. Parking is typically no problem, but sometimes it can get crowded. I heard some of my neighbors complaining to each other and noticed the problem seemed to lessen shortly thereafter, so I assuming they alerted management. My neigbhors are very nice people, and the surrounding neighborhood looks like something out of "Desperate Housewives." Dave, the maintenance guy, is very friendly and pretty prompt. Some of the building exteriors are starting to wear, so it could look better, but they also do things to make the place look nice like place mulch around the complex and keep trees trimmed. There's plenty of wildlife roaming about -- I've seen deer, ducks, squirrels, birds, chipmunks, and rabbits. Pretty relaxed place -- not perfect, but certainly cozy. I'd recommend it.
