Brunswick Apartments
< Prev Review | >
My son rented (guess who paid') one of the studio apartments for one school year. Being a studio, it was very small but still better than a dorm. The outside of the apartments looked a bit aged (probably built in the 70s) but the inside had obviously been completely renovated very recently with all new appliances. The neighborhood was quiet with students being the minority, so a serious student didn't have to put up with the dorm zombies. The drive to WVU was about five miles, not bad at all.
The staff was very nice. Not necessarily super efficient, but they eventually fixed any problems. If you paid on time and didn't trash the place, they were easy to work with. They were just happy to be getting non-rubber checks.
Bottom line' It aint heaven but it's nice, and it sure beats paying double for something not much better.

I agree with the overall sentiments but I should point out that I have lived in/seen several of the apartments at Brunswick (more than 5) and very few have new appliances. The appliances in my apartment are original (1984). The only reason there are new appliances is if the old ones died.
