I moved into a 2 bedroom unit in August. So far, so good. Overall, it is a great great value for the money. My rent is $525 per month (actually, $550, because I own a cat, and it's $25 more per month for an animal). My apartment is spacious, most often quiet (except for some weekend nights, and especially after winning football games), and very new and modern-looking. Very pretty, overall. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and walk-in closet attached to it, which is really nice, and there is a little balcony. All the doors (front door, balcony, bedrooms) have deadbolts. I feel very safe here.

The rent includes all utilities (electric, water, sewage, trash), and you also get free high speed internet and cable (the cable has 75 channels, including 5 HBOs). The clubhouse has a free 24/7 workout room, free 24/7 computer lab where you can print for free if you bring your own paper, and there is a cafe and 2 tanning beds that are free also. Oh, and there is a free shuttle to the PRT station, and we are a stop on the Mountain Line WVU bus. Parking is not a problem.

Each person in the apartment has their own lease and the rent is individual, which is nice, because you don't have to worry about collaborating with your roommate, and one person being primarily responsible for the rent.

I haven't had any problems with the management yet. There is some concern by people that the apartments were not built well because they rushed to finish them. I think this is true, to an extent, but also I've found that when there's a problem management comes pretty quickly to fix it, so I don't see this as much of an issue. The real test for me will be in seeing if there are any problems with deposits or anything when I move out. If there are, I will repost.

This appears to be an advertisement. Clearly written by District staff.

I agree with igor999. All the same propaganda from their website, spewed out under the guise of a fake tenant. No one's being fooled here.

My name is Danielle Nadorff, and I wrote the above review. I was never an employee of the District, I just enjoyed living there. I had a back injury during the second semester that I lived there, and had to move out because I lived on the fourth floor (and there were no elevators). The management let me out of my lease with no fees or problems.
