When I moved in Mike the landlord did not tell me that kids where not allowed playing outside. Let me explain how bad it is. No one is allowed to walk on the grass! Your child is not allowed to ride his or her bike, roller blade, or skate board. There is no playground. Mike did not tell me this until after I signed and moved in. Also we have had a leek above our shower the entire time we have lived there. Every time there is water running down my wall from the ceiling mold comes along with it! Now the ceiling above my shower/tub is sagging. He will not come and fix it, as well as treats me like I am crazy when I explained that mold in coming out. I had to replace the kitchen and bathroom facet because they did not work properly. Then the bathroom floor started to get wet in the corner. So once again I called Mike and advised him of the matter and he said he would send some one over. Five days later unannounced some guy shows up at my apartment to look. He looked and no one ever called me back. So about three weeks later I pulled out my files from the far side wall of my closet, kneeling down filing my bills and notice my knee was wet. Sur enough I start pulling things away from the wall and the carpet is wet. The worst part is there is mold up the wall. Upon removing the dresser to clean and shampoo the carpet I discover mold had grown up the entire dresser and in-between the cracks. Understand that this does not happen in a day. We live in Wyoming it is extremely dry here. I called Mike, he proceeds to tell us "Oh yes there is a leak upstairs on the third floor, and the people above you on the second floor flooded their toilet twice. We are fixing the leak on the third floor this week. No one called to tell us, please keep in mind this leak/wet floors had gone on for month not three weeks. Mike would not even come over to my apartment to look, and then had the nerve to tell me to clean the mold with Lysol. I have an infant who was sleeping in that room this entire time. There had been a nasty virus going around Casper and my infant, my partner and I had gotten it. But we just could not seem to shake. I would be fine at work and home until I went to bed for the night. I do not have any allergies, but I felt terrible the entire time I was in that room. Now I know that the mold did not make me sick but I do think it was very unhealthy for my family, in particular my infant. My ten year old son was not affected at all, and he does not sleep in the same room! Further more I advised Mike I knew there was mold on the inside of the wall and he refused to replace it. WHEN YOU RENT THE LANDLORD SHOULD BE CLEANING UP THE MOLD NOT ASKING THE TENANT TO DO IT. Further more when I got upset with him he just told me if I did not like it I could move. I advised Mike I was looking for a new place, as my lease is up. Then he threatened me to report me as a trouble maker if someone called him for a reference. I have slipped and fell in the laundry room twice due to flooded floor. I have moped up that laundry room several times. Now he has fixed that issue. However he stated that the third floor leak is fixed but my floor is still wet from time to time. I am sick of dealing with it and I do not appreciated being threatened. My lease is up, I have found a new place and I am moving. My partner has her BSN, we are not stupid people. My rent was $550 when I moved in, then he charged me $50 more when my infant was born, then another $50 when my partner moved in, and then the rent went up another $100. So I am paying $750 a month! I would not advise anyone to live in these apartments. The grass in beautiful in the summer but if you can not toss a football back and forth or have a pick-nick what is the point. Please be very carful if you live in these buildings. I have taken photos of the mold and will be reporting it!
