The university apartments are not bad at all. They have a very flexible lease such that you only need to check your your apt 2 months in advance. That is the main reason I chose to stay over there rather than any off-campus one. I have lived in Summit View, Landmark, River Village. I can whole-heartedly recommend Landmark and River Village to anybody who is considering the on-campus housing. Without any doubt, River Village is the best. It is a spacious, newly-built two-floor 2-bedroom/3 bedroom apartment that comes with free and fast cable internet, electric range, cable TV. Landmark is a tad tight on the space but it also has the free wireless signal around and costs cheaper. Summit View is the one that I like least, they used to be the army barracks. Thus you know you can not expect too much on it. The good news is they will be demolished and replaced with a new set of apartments by 2010.
And the neighborhood is great, too! It has a gold course nearby. Most of fast-food chains(McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Arby's) can be found in walking distance which is good for those who do not own a car yet.
The only thing I do not like is the parking space. If you are going to share the apartment with someone in Landmark, then you'd better figure out who will take the only parking place first.
