This apartment complex is the worst that I have ever lived in. From the get-go, I knew there would be problems. Ever since I moved in, there were problem with cockroaches. At least they had the terminix guy come and spray the apartment, but that just meant that you were cleaning up after dead bugs all the time. And that would only work for two weeks at a time. Also, I discovered when I moved in that their idea of upkeep is to spray-paint all of the surfaces. That includes the kitchen tops.

To say that the staff is incompetent would be an insult to incompetence. They screwed up my application fees and didn't even catch it for four months until they left a letter, AT THE BOTTOM OF MY DOOR, saying that they would report me to the credit bureaus if I didn't pay my supposed debt. When I went to the office, they didn't have any idea why I had the debt in the first place. Now, my bathroom is having problems and it took three calls just to get them to do something and I still don't know if they did something.

The postal service to the apartments is useless. I've had multiple letter sent back to the sender for unknown reasons. When I tried to ask the postal worker for information, she ignored me. Also, when I was waiting for a package, neither the apartment complex nor the post office told me it was delivered to the apartment office.

The office said "It's not their job."

I won't go into detail about the noisy neighbors or the police who show up at the complex every few weeks or just the poor neighborhood that it's in. I guess Essex stopped calling themselves a gated community after they stopped bothering to fix the gates. So anyone can enter and leave as they can. But at least the complex has a live-in Richland Co. officer to handle trouble.

This is by far the worst complex I've ever lived in. I cannot wait for my lease to run out. I'd break the lease, but I don't want to give AIMCO the satisfaction of getting another month's rent for breaking the lease.
