When I first moved into Gallant Place I really loved it. The are is nice, and it seemed pretty safe. After about 3 months things sarted to go south. I could hear EVERYTHING my neighbors were doing and I'm sure they could hear everything that went on in my house. On several occasions I woke up in the middle on the night to find someone standing on my back patio, and my back gate was often open in the morning when I was positive I had secured it the night before. My fiancee and I are very quite and keep to ourselves. We did most of our laundry in the laundry room for the tenants, and because of this, we are each missing about a load and a half of our clothes. Sometimes our clothes would be removed from the dryer soaking wet, so that someone else could use the one dollars worth of air. My boyfriend and I are of different races and apparently this is NOT accepted at Galant Place. Once the landlord realized I wasn't a defenseless single young woman. He started asking a lot of questions about our relationship, about any company we had over, and other random topics. Gallant Place was, by far, the worst living situation I have ever experienced, not only because of the poor quality of the townhomes, but because of the missing underwear, nosey neighbors, and intruding landlord.
