I've lived at Evergreen for two years, and it has been a distinguishably delightful experience. The maintenance guys come knocking once a month for pest control, and if you have no clothes on, it can be terrifying, but they'll ask you how the semester is going and are very kind. My apartment smells like cigarettes because of the neighbors smoking outside. You can sometimes hear fellow students screaming at the top of their lungs at 3AM, but the space is otherwise very quiet and private and these interruptions give a certain degree of excitement and interest to the experience. It's kind of a nuance. The showers give a little over five minutes of hot water in the winter time, which is nice. The dishwasher is really good. There are no overhead light fixtures, so bring your own. Parking is always plentiful. The internet works 98% of the time. For an apartment less than $600 per month, it's spacious. about 3/4 mile from ETSU Campus, about 1 mile from JCMC. The oven is small and burns everything, so be careful. Home is not places, it is love.
