If you are looking for a sense of community and conformity with your neighbors, then keep looking. But if you want to keep to yourself, pay reasonable rent, and live there as only a stepping stone to something big then you will be okay. I don't have to worry about my neighbors knocking on my door and begging for stuff because we don't even speak the same language. The management staff respects me because I demand respect, you will find that anywhere you go. I have developed a personal relationship with the police services that frequent the area and that live there as well. The maintenance staff is quick and friendly. There is a roach problem but if you stay on mangagement it will go away soon, mine did. Overall, it's not that bad, I mean hey, this is Memphis, there is no place that is really safe plus extra affordable!
