Resident 2011 - 2013

1/2/2013

We have lived here for a couple of years. We approaching our second renewal as we did a short term the first time. There have been and will be increases of 100 for both renewals. Staff has changed - all the good ones are gone. If you like lip service, this the place for you. If you are a do it yourself-er, then this place is also for you. It is EXTREMELY poorly insulated, the windows seals are broken as are the springs. The carpet is worn. Most of the security lights are burnt out. You are REQUIRED to pay for Comcast cable - even if you don't want it. They do not follow their own policy with people that do not clean up after their pets. Prior to leasing here, I leased a larger home in Indiana. My utility bills were less than here where the weather was MUCH cooler. I noticed a comment about NES increasing their rates as the response to the higher bills. Obviously poor insulation is not a problem that is going to be fixed as they are NOT going to open walls to fix it. And something else to consider though - does your furnace run constantly where you are now, with the temps just below 40 and is your front entry the same temp or cooler than the temps outside? Just saying..... it looks pretty but by all means, look closely if you take a walk through. Look under the edges of the counters where they meet the cabinets. Look closely at the cabinets. Look closely at the drywall and the NAIL-HEADS. Look closely at the carpets. They just don't maintain these units. It is even worse since the buyout. Sure, they say all the right things. There are those that try to DO all the right things too, but they aren't in a position to do much, as it is upper managements call.
