Resident 2007 - 2008

Worst apartments ever!! I have a long list of reasons.

This is the first time I have ever felt the need to contact a companys corporate offices, but this is the worst excuse of a managment team I've ever seen. Not to mention the apartments themselves are a prettily painted pile of roaches and water damage. Here is a copy of the complaint list I mailed off. I'd include pictures, but thats alot to download. Save yourself. I'm not a hard to please person and I'd trade this place in for a public shelter. Apartment- The breaker trips twice a week due to a single hair dryer in the master bathroom. -At least three electrical outlets don t work. -Poor a/c circulation in second bedroom and bathroom, always hot. -Holes in the wall behind the sick, damp and letting in insects -Holes in the bathroom wall behind toilet. Leaky pipes resulting in water damage for downstairs neighbors and damp cabinet walls. -Master bedroom door has stuck for six months. Actually resulting in climbing out the window one night. -Second bedroom closet door stuck so badly that the nails holding the door together have been pulled out. The door hasn t closed since. -Unexpected surprise of a water heater in second bedroom closet. Takes up 1/3 of the closet and heats entire bedroom since I can no longer close the closet door. -Wood burning fireplace either sealed or so badly clogged that smoke billows into the living room. -Cable outlet painted over. Cable installer had to dismantle and replace the hardware. -Holes on the underneath of the bar counter, letting in insects. Balcony- 8:15 am deconstruction of entire balcony. Jackhammers, air compression machines, cement slabs being thrown from second story, not to mention the yelling involved with such a job. -3 X 8 plywood board nailed across sliding glass door, blocking the only light source for the entire apartment. Only replaced by a smaller board after a good deal of effort on our part. -No Notice. -In the process, gutters were dislodged and left, later resulting in the flooding of the porch and leaking into the living room. -Storage room framing ripped apart and left incomplete for a month and a half. -Railing missing for over two months. Street and sidewalk- deconstruction begin at 8:30 am and continue for the next three weeks. Huge slabs of the road missing and uneven. Left incomplete for two and a half weeks. -No Notice. -Replaced two tires during this time. -Sidewalk deconstruction starting at 8:30 am right outside bedroom window. Jackhammers and sledgehammers. -No Notice Laundry facility- deconstruction left 2/3 of the complex without washers and dryers. -No Notice -Office managers first informed me that the facilities were in fine working order. After walking one manager thru the complex and showing her the empty rooms, she then claimed that the facilities would be complete within two weeks. They are being updating to re-loadable laundry card reading machines. -Four weeks later, the first facility is complete, but locked to prevent usage. Second facility is complete, with new card reading machines. Laundry cards have not been made available to the residents at this point, preventing usage. -In same day, third and only quarter using facility is completely emptied out. Leaving residents such as myself to drive to a neighboring apartment complex to do my laundry. -No Notice. -Completed facilities DO NOT include light switches and are dark after sundown. Pools- The complex advertised three pools. Approaching the summer season, one pool was filled with dirt and turned into a grassy hill. -Second pool was closed to the public for two months due to the endless amount of black algae and bacteria growing in the water. -Drained and refilled a few times, only to be black again by the end of the week. -New filter finally installed but pool area remains without furniture until mid July. Complex Buildings- Cracks have shown up in numerous places across the apartment and across the complex. -Cracks show between the bricks on most buildings, some from the ground to the roof. -The cracks on the outsides of all the buildings were caulked with bathroom and tile caulk and then painted over. -Bare wires hang from the corner of my roof. -Lawn maintenance have cut our internet wires. -New railings installed along stairs, but are not connected or anchored for stability and safety. Management- The water bill stopped arriving after four months. Only past due notices in the mail. -Never feels the need to put out notices to keep residents aware and informed. -Either always miss informed or unaware of the state of the complex they are managing. -Made numerous promises to call me back without following thru. Rather short and less than helpful with all complaints and problems. Have a tendency to be rude and dismiss any non-head of household.
