We lived in Oak Bend for a year, from 2013-2014. It was our first apartment in Austin. I lived in a two-bedroom with my boyfriend, a roommate and our dog. I'll start with the bad things. One, the apartments are VERY small. The main reason we moved out was just because there wasn't enough room for all of us or enough storage for our stuff. The other major issue with the complex is that more

The location of Su Casa is prime, especially if you're in school at UT. It's right near several bus stops and a bike ride to campus is a super easy option. Rent for the location and size is great. I have a one bedroom, halfway renovated, and I'll stay for as long as I can -- assuming rent doesn't creep up to market rate too quickly. The one thing I wish management would more

My fiancé and our two kids are thinking about moving here. I have read many bad reviews that were dated back in 2011 and before that were not good at all. Last year 2014 around this time I drove around that complex both day and evening and it was very peaceful and quiet. Nothing like the reviews I had read prior to driving over there and scoping the place out. Just last night my fiancé and I drove more

The environment is so comfortable. Friendly staff and managers, plenty of parkings and laundry facilities, beautiful flowers and lawn, and most of the time quiet. Within walking distance to Cal State Fullerton and 1 minute to 57 FWY. Most importantly, with this price of rent, it's the best around this area. more

We lived at 5th Street Commons for the past year. Office staff were great. Unit was very nice. Couple of negatives, the washer/dryer sounded light a mac truck running in the laundry room, the bedroom was 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the apartment but our main problem was dealing with the monthly water/sewage bill. It is billed thru a subcontractor, a company called AUM. A monthly more

I would not recommend these apartments to no one. First they changed management and then they show you a really nice apartment. Then when u get the keys to the one you are renting it is nothing like the one they showed you. Second of all it is full of bed bugs and roaches. They called call them selves renovating these apartments where. They are so messed up. Third of all they more worried about more

I was so excited to find these apartments but living here has been very disappointing. They are very old and the grounds always have trash scattered around ... and the dogs can be very aggressive. I was walking my dog one night and a German Shepherd jumped THROUGH a screen window and attacked my dog! Don't move here! more

After living in three other apartment communities here in the Austin area this is our favorite. Love all the trees and openness. You don't feel stuffed in a sea of concrete. Our unit has a beautiful view of the Hill Country too. The interiors are not luxury but classy and inviting. Personally, not into the stainless steel and granite craze so it is nice having black appliances. This place has more

I lived thee for 3 years and overall liked it! I think Martine properties hired a complete new management team literally the first week i moved in so some of these reviews previous to 2010 might be out of date. I had very little problems with my unit. These condos/townhomes are old, so i think its hit or miss on which one you get. You might get one that has been upgraded, or might get one more

Renamed SoNA apartments and still HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE I had a terrible experience. First off, this apartment home is OLD. It was built in the '70s. You can find newer and better apartments built in the 2009 ans 2010 for the same price or only a $100 differential. This apartment has a HUGE problem with PEST (Roaches, Ants, Bed Bugs, Fruit Flies, worm infestation in the summer and I think I more

Parking= No issues here, but I drive a Hyundai Sonata. If you drive a Lamborghini, then perhaps outdoor public parking isn't for you. Everything's well-lit, plenty of spots to park at, 24/7. 5 stars, unless you're Jay Leno. Noise= This complex was built in the 80's. As such, the sound insulation isn't the best. You can not only hear people talking or more

The office staff and leadership is poor. No cross communication between them. You tell one person you need assistance and the others are not aware of it. Maintenance is poor. They either do not have enough to handle the work or they just do not care. Plus you have to contact the office to get a work order in order from them to come and look at your issue. Which goes back to the office and more

I've lived here for a year. The current leasing lady, Elisa, is a little awkward but nice overall. Pest control comes every first Monday of the month, so we never have pest problems. Its quiet mostly, but occasionally there will be an obnoxiously loud party going on...b/c the windows are so big too, sound travels easily from those parties (hate!). The apartments face each other, so if your more

I spent a little over a year at this place. Mary is so sweet and I loved the way maintenance handled things. Other than the rent going up with every single renewal (well, they have to make money somehow, I guess), they are the cheapest and best value in Austin that I know of, as they are located in a nice, non-partying area of Austin where you don't hate your neighbors. I never had noise more

We've lived here at SOCO (Riverside Square) for 15 years. The office was once located here by the pool and everything was kept up and we were happy. But then the property next door was purchased and the office moved there. We were ignored. Since then, however, the building next door has been torn down and management has moved back over here. More importantly, management is now new people who more

I have been living here for about two months in a 1bedroom and the apartments themselves are old but nice. Some need updating but I haven't had major complaints just yet about my unit. What I do find to be annoying is that the laundry facility is kind of disgusting and always humid with puddles of water everywhere. For not having w/d connections in almost all the apartments, you would think more

Woodgate in a run-down property that needs alot of work! The pool is a salt water pool with no filtration system and it is hardly ever cleaned. The property is dull and the stair are a crumbling mess. The yards that they say are available vary in size and most are obstructed my big shrubs or columns. Years ago I would have recommended this place but not now. Heaven forbid if you want something more

I moved here a few months ago and am very happy with the community. I love the upstairs/downstairs layout of the apartment. The privacy fenced patio is absolutely wonderful, it feels more like a home than an apartment. Set in the beautiful Northwest Hills neighborhood of Austin, the location can't be beat. It is a very quiet and friendly community with lots of trees and a lovely more
