I have lived at 900 W. for two years. I am graduating so I will not be renewing, but even if I was staying in Austin I would NOT renew at 900 W. PROS: Close to campus- It is a 10-15 minute walk depending on where on campus you are going. Comes with parking- Comes with two assigned parking spots. One is on the same floor of the unit and the other will be a floor above. If somebody parks in more

I moved into the Ironstone Apts, which were quickly renamed The Enclave in November 2011. They had a new-ish manager who was seriously overworked and probably underpaid. Everytime I turned around there was an issue with my apartment. When I moved in, I had no faucets on either of my sinks, no screen door, and no light fixture in my bathroom. There was still food in my refigerator more

I lived there for one year. It was good for me when I firstly moved to Austin with just one suitcase loaded with my clothes and shoes, and no car. I really needed a place to settle down as a student quickly. It is nothing fabulous but I really appreciated the fact that I did not need to buy furniture. The new management from 2013 summer was said to be hard to dealt with according to my old more

This apartment has been bought out and torn down, but I enjoyed my brief stay there.
- Expensive rent, but it included water & trash.
- High electricity bill.
- Parking with permit.
- Maintenance was good.
- Lighting inadequate, both indoor and for the complex.
- Frequent noise from college parties.
- Could hear neighbor's cell phone more

True, it's close to campus (though it means terrible noise on weekend). It finished the renovation of the cafeteria (though it didn't make the food any better). It offers "amenities" (though I have no idea what they are talking about). But there is no other good in living here. 1) Unfriendly staff. Not everyone is unfriendly, but here is what happens to you. Some of them more

"You better not get too attached to that (Austin Pets Alive shelter) puppy because its not staying here. I'm going to come down on you with the full force of the law. BOOM!" says Barton Hills Park Place manager. Not exactly pet friendly or even friendly for that matter. The management is pretty ruthless but the Dallas-based owners probably want it that way. The location is great more

I was doing fine living in these apartments until they decided to build a playground in close proximity to people's apartments. I can hear children screaming well into the night, and it is a huge nuisance. Aside from that, kids go upstairs and stomp around. Often, I will have people come and knock on my door trying to sell things, or talk about religion. I never open the door more

If you live in the Courtyard Condominiums, make sure that your landlord is not Chad Wilson. Though he has been a landlord in Austin Texas for many years, he is unaware of tenants' rights in the state of Texas, and will attempt to extort fees from you simply because he believes he can. When I broke the lease early we found someone to replace me immediately. Chad Wilson decided to charge me more

Well, I wish I could write a good review for Oak Grove since I lived there for more than 4 years. It was great for the first three years and then the complex let a series of irritating people move in who like to party at all hours of the night on their balconies. Between the absolute lack of insulation and the single pane leaky windows, you get to hear every single word of your neighbors more

South Congress Commons is by far the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in! Equally disappointing is the current management / Roscoe Properties, who apparently is too busy refilling units with unsuspecting tenants who will later find out they just signed a lease with the equivalent of a college frat house. First of all, the units are poor quality (mold, ants, leaky more

This place was ALRIGHT when it was run by Roscoe. I mean this place is old, built in the 70's the plumbing is weird, the cable jacks sporadically dont work, they split the water bill across all residents - and it's pricey, the HVAC systems are old and antiquated, electricity fluctuates all the time, and sometimes there is just no hot water. The saving grace was that more

This place is amazing. Nickel and dimed for every possible expense. End you lease at the agreed to period...$150 charge. Too many dogs and all breeds(lots of pit bulls). Crappy laminated cheap renovations. Not one attempt at quality. Too many drug taking, beer swilling, smoking classless residents. Playing amplified music as loud as possible with doors/windows wide open. Walking more

Windsor Oaks is a great property, in an unbeatable Austin neighborhood (Clarkesville). It has spacious grounds, large courtyards, large pool, huge live oak trees and great living spaces. Easy walking to West Lynn, West 6th and Lamar shops and restaurants. The Owner residents, such as myself, love living here. As do most current tenants. It's quiet, beautiful and more

Construction, neighbor noise, way too many kids unsupervised running around the bldgs very loudly at ALL hours, no parking, trash EVERYWHERE. Can hear all your neighbors inside your apartment, and the police or ambulance pretty much reside here. more

My husband and I lived at Village Oaks for three years because of its convenient location between both our workplaces and near the Arboretum. That said, I d encourage those considering this complex to look elsewhere. Our apartment was adequate, but not great - think cramped bathroom, warped wood, haphazard painting, clogged air vents, a rusty dishwasher, and a strong more

I lived at this apartment for three years. I originally had a one bedroom and loved the apartment at first; it is in a great location and was the perfect size and rent. Then, two years ago my AC broke during August and it took them a month to fix it. Then, for various reasons, I rented a two-bedroom with a roommate. When we moved in a year and half ago we reported that the stove and more

I am a grad student and I absolutely love the pricing at Solaris. I was a bit hesitant about the location but as you all know college kids are more concerned about money and pricing rather than location and looks. The girl who gave me a tour was extremely nice and made me change my whole perspective about the complex and assured me the new management company was making changes which I could see more

I lived at andrews place for a year, and they are by far the worst management I have dealt with. The only time I had ever seen a manager was when I signed my lease. If I called about something, such as the AC being broken(which it did, twice) the security gate being ripped off it's hinges(It never got fixed) or just question about the unit in general, I NEVER got a call back. more

This apartment complex in transition to condominiums is run EXTREMELY poorly. The property manager is rude, arrogant, and unwilling to make the premises safe, livable, or functional. Do not be surprised if you're repairs take weeks or months to be addressed. In the year that I have lived here we have been moved to 3 different units because of various issues. One issue me an my more
