I lived in a 3 bed/3 bath for 2 years and this was my favorite apartment during college. I highly recommend the Villas. PROS: -I think these were built in 1999, but they still feel new. Everything was in good condition when we moved in and remained in good condition during our 2 years there. -2 of the 3 bedrooms are very spacious (including closets) and the smaller bedroom has a huge more

I've lived here for four years and loved it. This is despite the fact that each four-plex in the complex is now managed by a different property management company and all of them have been incompetent. For instance, they never figured out a good way to take care of the pool so it has been cemented over. And when there were large potholes in the parking lot, it took them 6 months or more

I spent two happy years at Castle Hill & have pleasant memories of the place. If you want a spiffy apartment with pool and gym and all the modern amenities (like washer/dryer hookups), Castle Hill isn't for you. But if you're attracted to an older brick building with wooden floors on a quiet tree-lined street just a stroll from one of the most happenin' intersections in Austin -- 6th & more

*This review is about the Century at 710 E. Dean Keeton (like the other one). While it is true that the complex is very convenient to campus for students, I just want to warn people it probably isn't worth living in the borderline sluminess. First, most of the units are extremely outdated, though there is a wide range as some units are slightly more updated. But a number have more

The complex is under new management. The new management folks are very friendly and manage the place well. There are 1 bedrooms apartments and efficiencies apartments that have been newly painted. It's a great bang for the buck. Where else in Central Austin can you live so inexpensively??? I highly recommend the place. I have lived there for just over two years now. more

I moved in last year and the new management has been just fine. Although they had to get rid of the small pool last year because it was sucking the HOA reserve dry (I heard no one used it anyway)they put a bar-b-que area in its place and it is well lit. Since I moved in the roofs over the carports have been repaired, and they re-sealed the pavement over the whole parking area this month. The more

The Cottage apartment appears to be well organized but don't be fooled the staff especially Katie (Asst. Mgr.) has a very nasty attitude (You will experience it after you rent)......read your lease very careful......there is a pest problem in the complex.......spiders entering inside the apartment........parking problems.......pets (dogs) are very plentiful.......I wished I had believed to the more

Cute little apartments in a great neighborhood. You get used to the trains after a while. Management is quick to deal with/evict problem tenants. There are several long term residents who love it. One man has been there 10 years. I have been there almost a year and plan to stay.

On the negative. Nothing more than any other older apartment. Hot water issues, old buildings...etc. But it more

2012-2013 update: I strongly advise against moving in. Here are the reasons. G.N. used to independently own this place. In 2012, she sold it to 512 Realty. When she realized that she was selling the place, she stopped addressing critical maintenance issues. The laundry room fell into disrepair with 80% non-functioning units. The parking lot had potholes. Structural cracks went more

I lived in a 1 bed for a year, then 2 bed for second year. Only moved b/c I wanted washer/dryer in unit.
Even though you're right by Mo-Pac, it's not bad and you never hear the neighbors unless through windows. Not much money put back into the apts though, sigh.
All neighbors are wonderful, it's like a whole community, w/o staff help.

We lived in Parkside at Lake Creek from 2011 to 2013. We enjoyed many aspects of living at Parkside: The location is wonderful. It is in the established, quiet and wooded Anderson Mill neighborhood, within walking distance of 2 neighborhood pools (other than those at the apartment complex) and several parks. It is also very close to Lakeline Mall, both RM 620 and 183, and several stores. If you more

The place is constantly changing managers so there is no consistency there (aside from the fact that all the managers are really unprofessional and disrespectful. Parking was always a problem if you wanted to bring friends because they had so little guest parking space and the towing company knew that that place was a goldmine. I will begin by saying that it is always wise to visit any property twice before renting...once during the day then again at night...preferably on weekends. Secondly, people with different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds often converge in apartment settings without much success because they do not understand or respect each others language, culture, etc. I had to say this because more

My family and I have lived here for a little over three years now and love our apartment. Unlike other apartments, it has a very cozy, home feel. Washer and dryer are in unit, bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. Grounds are kept clean and well maintained. There is a real sense of community here that I have never encountered with any other complex I have lived in. Pool and gym are always clean. more

have been living here 2 years. I hope to find another place I can afford someday. If you can stand the NOISE, extreme lack of privacy, limited laundry availability, uneducated and stubborn low income people, to use the antipoverty services the property provides and then move on, this place will help. Cons No privacy: - Everyone can actually hear every intimate detail of their more
