After a noisy 13 months, leaving the met was the best part of leaving Texas.
I can add only one thing to the reviews about the paper thin walls (the 3 year old next door, the laundry machine upstairs), feral cats, and miniscule parking places (all true!) I had the unique experience of moldy funk in one of the bathrooms. My whirlpool tub worked just fine -- but the other bathroom had a persistent stank smell that the management continued to ignore, caulk over, or lecture me about getting a shower guard (which I did to no avail). The bathroom needed to have the tub pulled out and properly dried. It never happened.
Oh yeah, there was also the air vents dripping with old dust. The heat never worked. The intersection beggers who harrassed me when I walked to the stores. The cockroaches filling my cat´s litter box.
But hey, the bus service to campus was convenient.
