My daughter is currently on her 2nd year of living here and it will also be her LAST year. Her lease expiration date of July 31, 2015 cannot get here fast enough.
I will be fair and say that the reasons for us leaving are not costs, maintenance or a bad experience with the dwelling itself. All these things were fine. Our issues were with management. As a parent or resident, when you call and ask to speak to a manager, you can NEVER get them on the phone. The very polite person who answers the phone will inform you that the manager is "in a meeting or away from their desk" and try to help you. But they never can. If you ask for a returned call, you will never get one. They promote their property as a "student living" complex but this year my Texas A&M daughter received a roommate who had a 2 year old child. Yes, single parents can live here too and be placed into a unit with a college student. That roommate brought her boyfriend along too. My daughter was living with an instant family. Management's idea of issuing roommates based on profile compatibility is ridiculous at best.
I want my daughter out of this apartment complex and I really wish the property management company would investigate their employees and their lack of service to their CURRENT residents. Im sure there are success stories out there, but after reading all the reviews listed here, I don't know where they are. The only people who will come to the defense of this complex are the ones who have only visited. Those people receive returned calls, helpful assistance, etc. Just wait until the lease is signed and you have no way out. You will experience the real management of 2818 Place.
