The only reason this property got any kind of "facelift" in 2010 is because the city was literally on the brink of condemning the property. The new owners were in a hot hurry to sell all the units before the time limit expired in 2010 for the $8000 home buyer credit, which they were requiring people turn over to them when it came. As long as you qualified for the credit, you qualified to buy a unit. They sold units to people knowing they didn't have any credit or even the income to afford the condo. They figured they would be able to collect people's $8000 before they had to foreclose on them. They have given up on any kind of quality workmanship that might have been going on in the beginning. The maintenance people are barely adequate. They have former ditch diggers doing the "remodeling", so how can you expect any quality? The decks on the lofts are literally falling through. I'm afraid to let my dog go out there for fear he will fall or be impaled on one of the nails sticking through the boards. When they do fix the decks, they just slap new boarding over the rotten frame. Any fool can look at them and see they are still sagging in the middle 2 inches-even after they've been "fixed". I thought they had cleaned the trashy people out, but it was only quiet because half the apartments were empty. Now that they are filling up, it's the same crappy shady element moving in. I have to carry a knife on me after dark. I'm happy to be getting out while I'm ahead. A lot of people weren't so lucky. They talk a good talk, but have no clue how to effectively manage this complex.
