My only advice is make sure you take LOTS of pictures showing the condition of your apartment when you move out, be present when they inspect your apartment and get them to sign off on the condition of your apartment at the conclusion of the walk through. I was moving out of state and couldn t do the walk through with the management. That is coming back to bite me. Not only are they withholding my entire deposit, they are charging me another $300 for damage only they could see! My only recourse is Small Claims court (not likely to happen since I don t live in Texas anymore) or take a big hit on my credit score. So, I guess I m out over $700 for the pleasure of having been a resident.
