Resident ā€¢ 2009

2/1/2009

The biggest advantage to living at the Lanesborough is living right on the rail. It is VERY convenient if you work in the med center as parking is expensive there (upwards of $100/month). The apartments themselves are nice. Mine was clean when I moved in. I have never had my car broken into. This is Houston. Use common sense: don't leave a cell phone sitting on your front seat and you'll most likely be fine. The management is a problem though. Be prepared to have to literally yell at them in order to get any maintenance done. Also, when I moved in (June 2008) there was a security guard at the entrance 24/7. With no explanation, he disappeared about a month later and no security guard has been back since. If you want to ride the rail to work then live at the Lanesborough or Greenbriar (equivalent property down the street- Greenbriar's management has a reputation for being friendlier, but the apartments are signifcantly more expensive and aren't any nicer than the Lanesborough). If living on the rail is not a priority, I would suggest living elsewhere. There are many good apartment complexes in the area. Kirby Place and Alexan Main Street are the two nicest apartment complexes I have seen so far in this area.
