No..... NO!!!

Okay...

The dog crap is horrible and so is the mud but I think the dog crap is so bad because of the mud.
Think about how fast a... *turd*... will dry and decompose in a desert verses a Florida marsh. We here at Vizcaya are obviously a marsh.
Now what is the problem with the mud... its 2 things.

The high clay content in the dirt is a big one. if you dont belive me take a jar, fill it about 1/3-1/2 with dirt from somewhere unimportant like near the air conditioners, then fill the remaining space in the jar with water and mix it up good and let it sit. The stuff towards the bottom is clay. Very pretty.

The second problem can be helped though... STOP WATERING THE GRASS EVERY NIGHT! I do not know how often they water the grass daily but however much it is it is to much. I know they do it about 9:50 or 10 (which I have been caught in 3 times now...). We get enough rain to keep it watered even in the summer. Now I'm not sure 100% but i bet if they never used the system again it would be too soon.

Parking for me isn't TOO big of a problem but it does get annoying. When we first moved here I got covered parking space... i think this was just to try to keep the problem from getting worse by letting us park there but still. The spot is near my building but I'm lazy and prefer to just park in front. I sometimes can do this but when I can't I just park in my cover spot. From here though is where I sometime get pissed. Very often though do I find another car parked in my spot. The spot we pay for! In fact I have reported it once and nothing happened. (i would do it every time but it happens when the office is closed at night)

Noise and safety are two problems for me but it really depend on what apartment you get (at least for the noise). But Ive seen lots of people having parties and there are way too many people that I myself call "the scum of society"... This is often he typical white girl who reminds me of Jenny from Forrest Gump (before she tells him about forrest jr.) and the black guys who's best line of defense for keeping their pants up is a hand between the crotch. (if you are one of these guys I dont wanna hear how I'm a "Hata". The correct term should be "Feara"... your the reasons I carry a gun. (ok that was off topic but... ehh). But I do know there is alot of drug activity that goes on here. Just the other day I noticed car after car come driving by one particular group of black guys. Could be harmless... but probably isn't. On top of that I've seen my neighbors son and his friend out on their porch just smoking away at some marijuana. I first I thought it was a cigarette... and since they didn't look 18 yet I took notice... then when I got closer I smelled it. I would have called the police and tried to set them straight but i knew the cops would just show up they would get probation and the son and his mom would be bickering for the next couple of months until he got of probation (being my neighbors I didn't want to put up with the noise especially since the government doesn't have the balls to send the kid to prison or at least juvi.)(I'm also not necessarily against marijuana nor for it but I am for obedience of the law... so don't email me complaining about how I should have handled it).

Good things to say though... I'm not sure how many maintenance staff members there are but I know of one guy at least. He's a Short Mexican guy who speaks English good enough. (thats not saying much but I don't know much)
We've need maintenance 3 times in total since moving here and every time he's their almost immediately or within an hour. He does good work too. The first time He fixed our Stove and its been perfect ever since, the second he fixed the dishwasher door and it too has bee great. The third we needed to change the front door bolt lock (the lock was fine... we lost a key and felt safer if the lost key couldn't open the door).

Construction is another thing where I remain relatively neutral on. the apartments are nice but the walls are drywall that has just been painted with a thin layer of paint. Not sure how this compares to normal apartments in other complexes but I've lived in houses my whole life that had either had wood walls or some good wallpaper (and for about 6 months I lived in the Projects which had painted brick walls... that was very ugly)
The problem I have with the drywall is that I have a total of 5 reclining positions in my living room seating (2 on each couch and 1 recliner) and a certain other person in my house likes to slam the chairs back and hit the wall. After about a month of this a chunk of drywall was missing so big I felt afraid to call the maintenance guy to change my door lock. Instead I just asked them up at the office about it and they said to not worry about it and dismissed it as normal... I can't help but think is it really normal? Poor quality? All the while I feel disturbed by it and feel I'm going to be unloaded on with some 50-10 dollar fee to fix some drywall.

The office staff... well I've heard some very bad stuff and honestly none of it would surprise me. The only real incidence where I've ever needed the offices assistance was once where I didn't have a key (the whole lost key incident) and they made me one and when I reported the car in my spot. The first they helped me but the second as I said never happened.
