I should have known when I saw the condition of the property that the attitude of the people and the condition of the inside of the apartments over time would be no better. With all the choices to live at in the Irving area, I would encourage anyone looking at the Cabochon to rethink it. As long as things are good, the staff treats you great. The minute you have a maintenance problem or where you need immediate attention, they are rude, inflexible, and unprofessional and dont bother talking to the maintenance manager he just smiles and ignores you. This is not a customer/tenant-friendly property. This spring they did some work to fix the lights outside, but it simply acted as a band-aid to cover up the real problems. The real problems are inside the apartments...old carpet, old cabinetry, old plumbing, old wiring, you name it. For the money we pay, and considering the competitive nature of the property, it is quite disconcerting that more care is not taken. They are completely reactive.
